The Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) is a free service provided by the U.S. Department of the Treasury that allows individuals, businesses, and tax professionals to pay federal taxes electronically via the internet or phone.
Anyone who pays U.S. federal taxes can use EFTPS, including individual taxpayers, businesses and corporations, payroll service providers, accountants, and even non-resident entities with U.S. tax obligations.
