What is the 1040 Form?

The 1040 Form is an IRS tax form used for personal federal income tax returns filed by United States residents. doola does not support 1040 filings.

The 1040 Form is a tax document used by individuals(residents) in the United States to file their annual income tax return with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). It reports your income, calculates the amount of tax you owe or the refund you’re entitled to, and includes details about any deductions, credits, or adjustments to your taxable income.

The 1040 Form is essential for ensuring compliance with U.S. tax laws and accurately reflecting your financial situation to the IRS.

If you are self-employed, operate a sole proprietorship, or run a single-member LLC, you will likely need to include a Schedule C (Profit or Loss from Business) with your 1040 Form.

Although doola does not file personal tax returns (form 1040), we do support Schedule C preparation.
