How to Open a Slash Account

This article explains how to open a Slash account if you live outside the United States.

Slash has two types of accounts for non-residents:

  • Standard Slash Account — For people who have a US-registered business (like a US LLC or C Corp) but live outside the US.
  • Global USD Account — For people who do NOT have a US-registered business. This account still gives you a US bank account with a routing number, corporate cards, and the ability to send and receive payments.

Not sure which one you have? If doola formed your company in the US, you likely qualify for the Standard Slash Account.

What Documents You Need

For both account types, you will need:

  • Business Information: Your company name, date it was formed, phone number, and address.
  • Proof of Address: A document that shows where your business operates and where each owner lives.
  • Government-Issued ID: A driver's license or ID card. If you live outside the US, you also need a valid passport.
  • Articles of Incorporation: The official documents that show your company was legally formed.
  • *Bank or Credit Card Statements: Two recent statements from another bank or financial institution. If you don't have these yet, Slash may accept personal financial statements instead.
  • *Proof of Business Activity: Something that shows your business is active — like an invoice, contract, or revenue statement.  If your business is new or just getting started, Slash may still accept your application even with little or no proof of activity.

How to Apply

  1. Go to the Slash online application form.
  2. Answer a few short questions about your business (email, number of employees, monthly card spending, etc.).
  3. Enter your name, company name, and phone number.
  4. When asked where your business is incorporated — if you select a country other than the US, your application will automatically be set up as a Global USD Account.
  5. Submit your application and wait to hear from the Slash team.
