How to confirm your tax report are finished — emails, dashboard status, and documents
This article explains how you’ll know when your doola tax return is complete and where to see it.

When your draft is ready, we email you to review (status: Pending Customer Review).

You can track status in your doola dashboard (Taxes) and download final tax filings from Documents.

After we file, you’ll see statuses like Submitted to the IRS → Accepted by the IRS, and the final return is uploaded to your dashboard.
What counts as “finished”?
Your tax return is considered complete when:

The dashboard shows Accepted by the IRS (for e-filed returns) or Filing Completed, and
-
The final return PDF(s) appear in your doola dashboard under Documents.
Where to check

Email — look for a message from your tax preparer asking you to review a draft or confirming submission/acceptance.

What each status means (customer view)

Pending Customer Review → Your draft is ready. Open your email, review, and approve/respond as instructed.

Ready to File → We’re set to submit once your review/steps are complete.

Submitted to the IRS → We’ve filed; awaiting IRS decision.

Accepted by the IRS → Done. Your filing was accepted; final docs appear in your dashboard.

Rejected by the IRS → We’ll update you with the fix and resubmission steps.
Why might I see “pending” even if things are moving?
Status tiles can briefly lag while systems sync. If you see a temporary mismatch, rely on your email notifications and the uploaded return as the source of truth.
I don’t see an email — what should I do?

Check spam and search for “doola” or “tax draft.”

Open your dashboard → Taxes to confirm the current status and any actions.

If you still can’t find it, contact support from your dashboard.
Where are my final documents?
After completion, your tax return is stored in the Documents section of the doola dashboard so you can download it anytime.
