What counts as “official LLC documents”?

Names vary by state, but the most common items are:

  • Formation document (e.g., Articles of Organization, Certificate of Formation, or Certificate of Organization)

  • Operating Agreement (your LLC’s internal rules)

  • EIN letter from the IRS (often labeled CP 575; sometimes 147C if reissued)

Where to find your documents

  1. Log in to your doola dashboard.

  2. Go to Documents (or Company → Documents, depending on your layout).

  3. Download the files you need. Use clear filenames when saving for banks, marketplaces, or applications.

If something looks missing

  • Still waiting on EIN? It can take time after issuance to appear in your Documents. If you need it urgently, contact Support.

  • Name/address change? Tell us which document needs an update and attach any required proof so we can regenerate or advise next steps.

  • Need a certified copy or apostille? Ask Support—some states require an additional request and fee.

Tips for common uses

  • Bank account or payment processors: Bring your Formation document and EIN letter.

  • Marketplace or vendor onboarding: Often ask for Formation document and Operating Agreement.
