What is a DBA?
Updated over a year ago

A DBA, "doing business as", is also known as a trade name, and allows you to conduct business under a name that is different than the one registered with your LLC.

A DBA is not required for a business, but it can be a useful tool. If you're planning on doing business using a name other than your individual name or your business entity's official name, you'll need to register for a DBA name.
