Does a Social Security number (SSN) expire?
No. Once an SSN has been assigned it is an individual’s unique number for the rest of their life. However, if for whatever reason the IRS does not accept their SSN, don't worry, the company'll still be able to fax a form in to the IRS to get their EIN!
